The Boko Haram insurgency has seen some of the worst Human Rights violations in Nigeria which have also spread across the Sahel region. A lot of these violations have been recognised but most individual cases remain undocumented as a result of poor access and lack of on the ground data collection specific to Human Rights.

The project is mobilising 7 communities across the three states towards reconciliation and building capacity and establishing mechanisms for transitional justice.

One of the activities of the project is community mapping which is designed to enable community facilitators to collect relevant data that will aid the effective implementation of the project. The exercise took place in the 7 communities earmarked for the project.
