As Police justifies the shooting late Nyamkwange

Complainant’s Counsel, I.G. Mdatsadue in a petition of alleged extra-judicial killing of Simon Aondofa Nyamkwange by the Police on Wednesday informed the Independent Investigation Panel on Human Rights Violations by defunct SARS and other unit of the Nigerian Police that the corpse of the deceased is stranded at the Mortuary of General Hospital Wuse, Abuja.

The chairman of the Independent Investigative Panel on Human Rights violation by the Defunct SARS and other Units of the police force, Justice Sulieman Galadima (rtd) has said that the panel will not move on from the alleged extra judicial killing of one Yau Mai Atampa.

The police today cited “falsehood" as being the reason why a petitioner, one Bashir Ahmed was charged to court.

Making this revelation before the Independent Investigative Panel on human rights violations by defunct SARS and other units of the Nigerian Police Force, the DPO Abdullahi Ishaq who is among the six people linked to the case of alleged threat to life, cruel inhumane, and degrading treatment of Bashir Ahmed, informed the panel that investigations into a complaint brought before his area command revealed that, the petitioner had misled the police.
